Two Sets Close Loop Drilling Waste Management System for Domestic Oilfield Project

Because of the more strict environmental regulation
on drilling project that no cuttings without treatment are allowed to be
discharged into directly into the pit and buried, almost all drilling sites
equip themselves with drilling waste management system.
In 2015, GN solids control, the international brand of solids control and drilling
waste management, has delivered to over 30 sets drilling waste management
equipment to China’s drilling site. Recently, another two sets of drilling
waste management equipment starts to operate in China’s oilfield drilling site.
For the drilling waste management, high G shaker is generally used to treat water based mud
cuttings as the first stage, and then the liquids will be fed into the high
speed decanter centrifuge for second stage treatment; vertical cutting dryer is
generally used to treat oil based mud cuttings as the first stage, and also the
second stage treatment machine is decanter centrifuge.

4 sets GNLW452 Centrifuge for fast barite recovery

GN Solids Control decanter centrifuge is professional for
oil & gas drilling, horizontal directional drilling, coal bed methane
drilling, diamond drilling etc. The centrifuge is liquid / solids 2-phase
separation equipment
, the separation point is 2 to 5 microns.

 Recently, we have customer from CPP, China petroleum
pipeline bureau company, the largest HDD contractor from China. They just buy 2
sets of
500gpm mud system
, each system equipped with 1 sets shaker with 2 ea desander
cones, 1 set shaker with 12ea desilter cones, 2 sets middle speed centrifuge
GNLW452. The middle speed centrifuge standard model is fixed speed centrifuge
with 1800RPM. The customer like customized centrifuge with variable speed
control panel. We company customized the fixed speed centrifuge to variable
speed centrifuge by adding one variable speed control panel with ABB transducer
inside to make the speed changeable. 1 set of GNLW452 centrifuge with treating
capacity 40m3/h, two sets means treating capacity 80 m3/h at same time. In this
case, the barite material in drilling mud can be take out by centrifuge very
fast. Thus, the total working efficiency will be promoted in a high level.

 Except of GNLW452 middle speed centrifuge, GN
Solids Control also have other model centrifuge for other application.

 1) GNLW363CG or GNLW363CG-VFD is high speed centrifuge,
fixed speed / variable speed two options for customer. This centrifuge is
professional for drilling mud weight reduce for solids control. Or it can be
used for drilling
waste management
to remove the very fine solids from drilling waste, thus to
reduce the oil on cuttings (OOC).

 2) GNLW553 big bowl big capacity centrifuge. If in some
certain case, the customer don’t want to use desander unit or desilter unit,
the customer may only use shale shaker & centrifuge for fast drilling. This
kinds of combination can also reduce the power consumption in a large degree. Because
when you use desander units or desilter units, big pump with electric motor is
generally needed.

 GN other model centrifuge, like GNLW223 baby centrifuge,
GNLW453 big bowl centrifuge is also available.

Dual Centrifuge mud system for CPP

GN Solids Control have many
production project for CPP from year of 2010. CPP is the largest HDD contractor
from China and engaged in China and overseas market. GN Solids Control compact
mud system and centrifuge is also working in many different jobsite with CPP
teams.

 Beginning of this year, we got 4 sets 500gpm mud recycling system for
CPP. Different from former system configurations, this time CPP require 2 sets
variable speed middle speed centrifuge for each system. In this case, they can
recover the barite from used drilling fluids fast. The centrifuge is GNLW452
big bowl middle speed centrifuge with variable speed control panel to adjust
the speed flexible.

 Except for 2 sets middle speed centrifuge,
other solids control equipment including:

1) 1 set Mud desanding cleaner GNZJ705-2S, with double deck shale
shaker GNZS705. It is for the first and second stage separation.

2) 1 set Mud desilter cleaner GNZJ705-12N,
with double deck shale shaker GNZS705.
It is for the first and third stage separation. 

3) 2 sets mud agitator installed on
centrifuge tank compartment, to avoid drilling mud settle down.

After double checking the whole system, you
can find the HDD mud system with 2 sets shale shaker, 1 set desander assembly ,
1 set desilter assembly, 2 sets centrifuge. The treating capacity is much
bigger and the drilling mud can go to desanding cleaner and desilter cleaner at
same time. The drilling fluids go into this two units via distribution box and
controlled by flange and valves. Generally, the actual treating capacity can
reach to about 800gpm to 1000gpm.

Maintenance highlights of decanter centrifuge

While
operating well drilling, the drilling
fluid centrifuge machinery
is one of the central
equipment that is often used, its purpose is mainly used for separating fine
solid debris whose diameter size are 2-7 μm from the drilling fluid.   By using the drilling fluid centrifuge to
remove solid debris, it can effectively well lubricate and protected the drill bit;
it also has a very important role of improving drilling bit speed. With the oil
drilling industry ways and the technologies are getting mature; the drilling
fluid centrifuge manufacturing technology has been greatly improved as well.
However, there are some inherent mechanical issues if not solved it will give
the operators many function issues.

must understand that regular maintenance on the centrifuge such as regular
cleaning the inlet and outlet by filling water or diesel depends what kind of
fluid it needs process.  It is also
crucial that add grease to the bearing parts to ensure proper lubrication.

Operators
needs regularly inspect often- damaged parts on the drilling fluid centrifuge,
such like hoses. In order to ensure the process in the use of these parts in
normal way this influences the production. Finally, electronic parts of the
centrifuge are working the best by running certain period of time frame (like
none-stop for hours). It needs, reduce the rapid turn on and off of the
centrifuge. If properly operate the centrifuge like mention above, then

1. Simple structure design of the shaker

force uniformly to the whole shaker deck.

3. Hidden design of the lead screw beneath
the shaker deck makes it available to adjust the shaker deck angle while the
shaker is running. The operator only need a ratchet wrench to adjust the deck
angle from one side of the lead screw, the other side would be adjusted at the
same time.

4. To ensure the better sealing
performance, the screen frame was installed a type embedded rubber sealing.
This rubber sealing will not be taken off with the exception of manually
disassembling.

6. Sometimes the shale shaker could be used
as a under shaker of the mud cleaner unit. All GN’s shale shaker will have the
